Assemblymember Didi Barrett Receives Independence Party Endorsement
Assemblymember Didi Barrett (D-Mid Hudson) announced that she recently received the Independence Party’s endorsement in her reelection campaign for the new 106th Assembly District seat.
“I am honored to receive the Independence Party’s endorsement as their support is vital in my continued fight for the needs of the Mid-Hudson Valley’s hardworking families,” Assemblymember Didi Barrett said. “For me, representing the Mid-Hudson Valley means delivering results to our families and putting their needs before those of special interests that dominate Albany’s landscape. I’ll continue working to make sure the voice of our district is heard.”
Assemblymember Barrett was elected to the 103rd Assembly District seat on March 20 during a special election, making her the first Democrat to represent the district.
“The Independence Party has a history of endorsing candidates that stand up for what’s right for their constituency and we know that Didi Barrett is that candidate,” said Dennis R. Zack, chairman of the Dutchess County Independence Party. “She has a long history of community involvement with various non-profit organizations and knows the different issues affecting the district. Having been in the Assembly for only a month and a half, she’s already shown to be highly capable and responsive to the needs of her constituents and that is why she has received the endorsement of the Independence Party.”
