CCDC Endorses Claverack Supervisor Robin Andrews for State Senate

The Columbia County Democratic Committee has unanimously endorsed Town of Claverack Supervisor Robin Andrews for State Senate in the newly redrawn 43rd Senatorial District. She has also been endorsed by the Rensselaer County Democratic Committee.

Supervisor Andrews will take on Roy MacDonald in the 43rd SD which encompasses all of Columbia County, most of Rensselaer County and parts of Washington and Saratoga counties.

Ms. Andrews stated, “I am grateful for the endorsement of the Columbia County Democratic Committee and thrilled to be running in a Presidential election year. This will be a tough race, but I will work hard to win this seat.”

Supervisor Andrews won a major upset in 2009 unseating a longtime Republican incumbent in the Town of Claverack. She has served almost 3 years of her four year term as Supervisor.
