Republican Assemblyman Joel Miller Endorses Didi Barrett

Assemblyman Joel Miller reaches across the aisle to endorse Didi Barrett for Assembly

Assemblymember Didi Barrett (D – Mid-Hudson) announced the endorsement of retiring Assemblyman Joel Miller (R – Poughkeepsie) for the newly drawn 106th Assembly District. Assemblyman Miller, a Republican, reached across the aisle to back Barrett, a Democrat, citing that they agree on many of the issues facing the Mid-Hudson Valley as the basis for his endorsement.

The endorsement is notable since Miller currently represents part of the new 106th District which Didi is running in.

“Didi Barrett is a strong supporter of ensuring women the right to make their own heath care choices and believes people should be able to marry who they love. She has conducted herself well as a Member of the Assembly understanding the responsibilities that come with the position” said Assemblyman Miller. “Like me, Didi Barrett will fight to make sure all New Yorkers are afforded their necessary freedoms – both economic and social. I have a strong record of providing excellent constituent services and I know Didi Barrett will continue that service by being a full-time legislator”.
